Overseer’s Diary

The person who is in-charge of work is called overseer. Overseer’s diary is a register maintained by the overseer of the farm in which day to day information regarding the utilization is recorded such as their names, wage rate, plot number where they work, nature of the work and their output per day.

Objectives of Overseer’s Diary:

i)To keep the daily records of the farm operations.
ii)To keep the nature of labour operation, wage and daily cost for them.
iii)To keep daily output of the different works.
iv)To record the cultivation of particular crops in a particular day.
v)To record the equipment used.
vi)To record the day to day progress of work.
vii)To indicate the place of work.
