1. This is one of the easiest and simplest methods of grafting and is suitable when the stock and the scion are the same thickness.
1. A method of grafting in which tongue shaped cuts are given in the scion and the stock similar to whip grafting.
2. It is an improved method over tongue grafting.

3. This method is useful in the nursery where the rootstock is quite thicker than scion and tongue grafting cannot be employed successfully.
