Human resource development in the organization context is a process by which the employees of an organization are helped in a continuous and planned way. 
 

Objectives of Human Resource Development (HRD)

 
1. Acquire or sharpen capabilities required to perform various functions associated with their present or expected future roles.
 
2. Develop their general capabilities as individual and Discover and exploit their own inner potentials for their own and or organizational development purposes. 
 
3. Develop an organization of culture in which supervisor subordinate relationship, teamwork and collaboration among sub­units are strong and contribute to the professional well-being, motivation and pride of employees. 
 
More specifically the goals of human resource development in organizations to improve
 
Ø  The capabilities of each employees as an individual, 
 
Ø  The capabilities of each individual in relation to the present role and the expected future role, 
 
Ø  The relationship between each employee and the supervisor, 
 
Ø  The team spirit and collaboration among different units of the organizations, 
 
Ø  The organizations overall health and self-renewing capabilities (School of management studies, 1992).
